If Your Machine Develops a Fault

Please contact Genpower Ltd aftersales first. Our team will guide you through basic diagnostics to help identify the issue.

In many cases, faults can be diagnosed over the phone and resolved quickly, including parts-only support where appropriate.

If we cannot resolve the issue remotely, we may ask for the machine to be returned for inspection and testing.

Collection, Transit and Warranty Returns

Collection During Warranty

Genpower Ltd can arrange collection of goods within the warranty period.

If the fault is confirmed as a warranty fault, collection, repair and return will usually be free of charge.

Extended Postcode Areas

For extended postcode areas (including Highlands and Islands), a carriage contribution or surcharge may apply.

If the Fault Is Not Covered Under Warranty

If the fault is found to be non-warranty (for example due to lack of servicing, lack of maintenance, misuse, or damage), the customer will be responsible for:

  • Transportation
  • Handling
  • Workshop labour charges

Extended postcode surcharges may also apply.

Customer Responsibilities Before Collection

The customer is responsible for:

  • Draining all fuel and oil from the machine
  • Safely and securely packaging the machine for transit (we recommend keeping the original packaging where possible)

Responsibility in Transit

Genpower Ltd accepts responsibility for the machine only once it has been received and inspected at our premises.

Return of Repaired Goods

Once repairs are complete, we will arrange return delivery.

Please note:

  • Highlands and Islands may incur a surcharge
  • For the Channel Islands, it may be more cost-effective for the customer to send the unit to a mainland address, and we will collect and return it from there

Inspection, Repair and Replacement

At Genpower Ltd’s discretion, we may:

  • Repair the product
  • Repair or replace failed components
  • Provide a like-for-like replacement

If any costs fall outside warranty cover, we will notify you before any chargeable work is carried out.

Parts-Only Warranty Requests

Customers may request parts under the warranty agreement.

Where possible, we can accept clear photographic evidence of a failed component if it appears to be a manufacturing defect.

If photographs are not sufficient, the failed part must be returned to Genpower Ltd for inspection. If the part is confirmed as a manufacturing defect, a replacement part will be issued.
