Getting Started: Step-by-Step Setup

Setting up the HY3250SEi, is quick and straightforward. Here’s a step-by-step guide to getting your vacuum cleaner assembled and ready for use:
Filling the Oil:

The generator is shipped without oil for safety during transport. Use the provided funnel to fill oil to the correct level, we recommend that with the generator on level ground, the oil is filled to the top of the oil filler neck.

Avoid underfilling and overfilling; too little oil can damage the engine and will cause starting problems as the engine is fitted with a low oil level shutdown system. Overfilling can cause the excess oil to be burnt and excessive smoke may be emitted from the exhaust. The oil capacity is 600ml.

Adding Fuel:

Use fresh unleaded petrol, ensuring you’re outdoors or in a well-ventilated area when filling.

Leave about 25mm of space at the top to allow for expansion and prevent spillage.

For small petrol engines, we prefer to use E5 unleaded petrol (5% ethanol), however, this generator will run on E10

(10% ethanol).

Starting the Generator:

Turn the fuel tap and choke to the appropriate position based on whether the engine is cold or warm. (Use the choke for cold starting)

Use the electric start button or the recoil starter if the battery is low. The battery will recharge during use.

Stopping the Generator:

Push the red button to the "Off" position.

Turn the fuel tap off to prevent carburetor flooding.
