Used with a stapler I need to reduce pressure to 60psi so use an in line unit.

I bought the HY5508 compressor for my small workshop. I use it for blowing away swarf when I am machining and also for airbrushing. It fits the bill perfectly as it takes up very little space. It runs very quietly and maintenance tasks are minimised to draining any water from the pressure tank. It seems vey nicely engineered and I expect to get many years of use from it.

I’ve been very happy with the Hyundai 550W 8L Air Compressor. It’s surprisingly quiet compared to other models I’ve used, making it ideal for indoor or garage use without disturbing anyone. The compact size and lightweight design make it easy to move around, yet it still delivers solid performance for inflating tyres, cleaning tools, and other light air tasks.

This is a great little compressor, perfect for a nail gun or air blower. It really is very quiet, I’m surprised every time its kicks in, how quiet it is. Definitely no need to build an insulated box for it! Small enough to go nicely under the workbench but isn’t continuously charging up the tank. Output pressure isn’t adjustable, so may need to add your own regulator if required for lower pressures (I haven’t needed to). It comes with ¼” (6.35mm) fast fit hose connector fitted. Perfect for garage or small workshop.

Really great piece of kit, I used it for upholstery. However I do think it should have came with a hose attachment..

Just what I required, small and quiet.

Wow! This is the first time I've owned a compressor. After watching many YouTube videos I settled on the Hyundai HY5508 and I’m glad I did.

I’m quite new to wood working and once I bought the HY5508 I then went on to by myself a Makita air gun. I work mainly in my shed and the noise from the compressor is minimal whilst working.

Overall I’m very impressed with the HY5508 and I’m glad that I chose it as a first time compressor.

This small air compressor works quietly and efficiently. I would suggest that Hyundai 5 piece air toolkit is advertised for sale WITH the compressor, as a suitable set of tools is essential to allow it to show its full potential.

Ideal piece of equipment for home use

Can't fault Hyundai products overall, quality and reliability is good. Bought this one as a stop gap due to limited space. These silent compressors are good, I use this one primarily for an air gun and also inflating tyres. Not sure i believe the stated outputs tho as even with the larger unit I have they struggle with an impact gun. Runs frequently which implies the tank isn't holding much pressure and the larger twin motor version wasn't 100% with an impact gun. Did spray well however. This single pump version is very quiet and unobtrusive.
