Just tried it out and seems to do the job it's made for. It's pretty straightforward to use and its splitting cycle is quite quick. It's deceivingly heavy so wouldn't want to be moving it about to often. All in all i believe it's worth the money.

The machine operates exactly as I hoped it would. I could raise and lower the stroke length to suit the logs I was splitting and the speed of the stroke was sufficiently quick that I did not feel I was watching paint dry. Retraction after splitting was quick so I could put a new log in without any delay.

Heavy, well made with good safety features. Easy to assemble with adequate instructions. Had it splitting wood inside a half hour. Good value as cost less in actual terms than my current splitter in 2005. Delivery was first class and delivered to North Scotland in 6 days from order over Christmas.

A good working height table, a steady & stable ram speed, gives a powerful safe splitting action, far safer & more comfortable to use than others used.

My year old pile of oak, beech and birch presented no problems to the splitter even when knotty. Much better working next to this electric version than a petrol one. Also just plugging in and not worrying about fuel, engine maintenance and winterisation is good.

The log splitter makes easy work of splitting logs and making kindling.
Assembly needs better photos and instructions. The wheels are easy but the swinging arms took a lot of thought due to small diagrams. Very heavy item.

This log splitter exceeds all expectations and is capable of splitting both hard and soft wood logs of 300mm plus with ease and nothing seems to phase it.
Extremely well manufactured which as an Engineer is important to me and the three year warranty gives additional piece of mind.
