The HYM80LI460SP is a rechargeable low maintenance 80-volt lithium-ion battery-powered self-propelled lawnmower from Hyundai. HYM80LI460SP is the ideal battery-powered lawnmower for medium to large-sized lawns bringing a clean, green, cable-free mowing experience.

Eco-Friendly Option

No Cables, No Petrol, No Pollution - the HYM80LI460SP lawnmower is powered by 2 40v Lithium-ion 2.5Ah batteries, no more messy fuel or dangerous mains cables.

No electric cord means mowing the lawn has never been easier or safer with no restrictions that corded lawn mowers present.

Re-Chargeable Lawnmower

With a charging time of just 80 minutes per battery and a battery lifespan of 1000+ charges, the HYM80LI460SP makes mowing your lawn as easy as possible and will provide a maximum run time of 40 minutes depending on the operating conditions.

Brushless Motor

The HYM80LI460SP mower is powered by a 1200W Hyundai maintenance-free, brushless motor for long service life. Brushless motors are maintenance-free and designed to offer many years of trouble-free use providing more power, longer run times, higher speeds, greater efficiency and less noise. This high torque brushless motor offers petrol power levels with 90% efficiency and high life durability.

Lawnmower For Medium To Larger Gardens

With a cutting width of 452mm, it’s suited for medium to large-sized lawns. It also features a large quick-release vented 65L grass catcher with a hard lid, meaning you spend less time emptying the cuttings and more time mowing. The hardened steel cutting blade features a fan system to maximise the grass collection. Attaching and removing the grass collection bag couldn’t be simpler, and the convenient grass level indicator on the top of the grass catcher will always inform you when the grass catcher is ready to be emptied.

6 Cutting Heights

With various cutting heights, ranging from 25mm for a smooth lawn to 75mm for cutting longer grass, the HYM80LI460SP puts you in control over the finish of your lawn. The height is adjusted by a single lever, which easily moves through the cutting heights.

Easy Start Mower

Using the mower couldn’t be easier, you simply move the safety dial to the left, engage the lock-out button and pull back the Operator Presence Control lever. This easy starting method removes the strain associated with recoil pull-start lawnmowers.

Compact and Storable

The handles are adjustable for height and also fold down over the main power unit, which makes this compact lawn mower easy to carry and store in a garden shed, garage and transport in the boot of your car. The HYM480LI460SP features vertical storage for a compact space-saving solution.

Maintenance Free Lawnmower

It’s quick and easy to assemble out of the box, allowing you to get it in your garden for the first cut in no time at all. With no engine to service, you also don’t need to spend time checking oil, air filters or spark plugs, making it extremely easy to maintain.

Mulching Lawnmower

Comes with a mulching plug (your dropped cuttings become compost, creating a healthier-looking, greener lawn) and side discharge chute.

The 40v battery and charger are included with this unit.

    Quiet satisfaction

After careful comparison and research I chose the Hyundai HYM80Li460SP as a replacement for my old self propelled petrol mower. First impressions are that I will not be disappointed. I had a minor panic when the delivery driver told me it was heavy and at 56 years of age he had better stop delivering such things, (I’m 78)! However I managed to lift it out of the box and assembly was pretty straightforward. The instructions were simple to follow with the application of a bit of common sense, and I was good to go. The batteries were ¾ full, so charging took no time at all. I found their insertion both into the charger and the machine very easy. I managed to do both front and back gardens on one charge over 30 minutes with ½ charge remaining. The grass was thick and lush at this time of year but the mower coped as well, on mid height, as my previous petrol machine. I also used self propulsion extensively. Recharging the batteries was quick enough, but because I went away to do other things I could not say exactly how long. I will however buy another charger just for the convenience of charging both batteries at once. Cutting the grass was a pleasant experience after the petrol mower. Despite the delivery man’s hernia the Hyundai feels light and fluid in operation. It is easy to manoeuvre, very quiet, and the controls are not much different to the petrol mower. I particularly liked the design of the grass box. Attachment and removal are so simple, but what impressed me most was how the cuttings simply slid out on emptying. So what was the outcome of this first cut? Well, I’m impressed, the Wife is impressed, and the passing neighbours think it’s the best garden on the road. Both lawns look manicured and despite it not having a roller, the Hyundai does leave stripes. Verdict – I can’t wait for the grass to grow so I can have another go. I keep going into the shed just to look at it!

    Excellent so far!

We wanted a cordless mower to avoid the headaches that come with a petrol one. We have a fairly large garden and this mower lasts long enough to cut the whole thing (as long as you're not using the self-propelled feature constantly). Gives a good cut as well! So far so good!

As powerful as a petrol mower and charge lasted as long as I hoped.

My garden is rough in places and slopes but this machine coped ok with it. I extended the mowing time by using the self propelling function as little as possible-when going uphill and just to start it moving, and then pushed it which was ok for a not particularly muscular 66 yr old woman. Doing it this way I managed to do half my large garden on one charge which was what I wanted.

    Best mower I've owned

Received my new mower this morning, found it very easy to assemble the handle etc. My grandson helped as it was much easier with two. Charged the batteries as soon as it arrived so have been able to cut a very overgrown lawn. Well I cut about 2 metres as my grandson also found it very easy to use and cut my lawn for me. i would definitely recommend this lawnmower if you find it difficult to start a petrol or push mower. it looks good and managed fairly long grass with ease.

    Great Mower, but battery dilema.

Posted by DN Preston on 4th Apr 2021

Hyundai lawnmower HMY80Li460SP After the first cut of the season, this self-propelled rechargeable battery lawnmower, appears to cut well and pick up the cut grass efficiently. I was surprised that I had to lower the blades lower than my previous mower to get a similar cut. I wonder if this is because it’s quite a light lawnmower and doesn’t have the weight of a petrol engine on it and that without that weight, it doesn’t sink down into the grass as much as a petrol engine mower. The mower is light and easy to manoeuvre. I found that when self-propelled, it is slower than my previous mower. There is no speed adjustment which is an omission in my opinion. A rear roller option would have a nice option that I would have gladly paid for. I have a medium sized lawn of about 375 m² and the fully charged batteries lasted for about 60% of this. Here lies my new dilemma. I can’t now cut the lawn in one go. To fully recharge both batteries with the supplied single charger takes about two hours. So, I either have to accept this as a new way of working or invest in more equipment. I could buy an additional charger. Hyundai only appear to offer a fast charger, but though this would reduce the charge time of one battery, I would still have to wait for the slower charger to catch up. I could of course buy two fast chargers, but then I would have a redundant charger. Alternatively, I could buy two additional batteries and just make sure that they are all charged up before I cut my lawn. I appreciate that Hyundai need to keep the initial cost down, and that some people may already have Hyundai batteries and charger, perhaps a better solution would have been to have a double battery charger (or two singles) as original equipment or to supply the lawnmower with the faster charger in the first place.

    Great mower

I am swapping all my garden tools to battery this mower is as good as a petrol mower however you only get a single battery charger and it has two batteries so when it runs out half way doing a cut you need to keep checking on your charge to see if you can swap batteries. I would like the option of purchasing a second charger and also batteries with greater capacity than 2.5Ah

80v Hyundai lawn mower The best!

Posted by IJ Basingstoke on 6th Aug 2020

This is the best mower I have owned. I love the fact that I dont have to worry about petrol, oil and pull starting the lawnmower. Just clip the batteries in place and away you go. Height is easily adjusted with a simple lever and the mower is very easy to use with the self-propelled rear wheels just pulling the mower along.
