I have only used the machine once since it arrived on a reasonable size laurel hedge. It seemed to get through the foliage quite well so no complaints so far.

A well made product although a bit on the heavy side it is well balanced and easy to use. I cut a large beech hedge and it sliced through everything with ease.

Quite light for such a large item. Blade swivels so you can keep a good grip at all angles. It is quiet when rinning and has excellent cutting power for branches.

It was great to use easily going through the toughest of hedges. If it lasts as long as my last strimmer I will be really pleased.

This hedge cutter slices through bushes like a warm knife through butter. I’d highly recommend it.

Used the new trimmer for the 1st time today to trim an established Forsythia shrub not trimmed since last year. Pleasing performance and ease of use. Very useful to have rotating handle feature which my previous trimmer didn’t have. Overall performance and end result was excellent. Nice to have a well engineered product as part of my garden maintenance selection.

Only briefly tested soon after delivery but worked exactly as expected, trimming a bay tree quickly and easily. The machine is quite noisy - which I knew was the case - so decent ear plugs and/or ear defenders will be worn when operating. Weight is fine and for my situation - back garden shrub and Laurel hedge trimming, the power cable will not be an issue. As advised in handbook (very handy to be able to read that online before the machine even arrives!), I had already bought a suitable blade lubricant for use before and after work - I bought and used WD-40 Cutting Oil which seems fine.

My previous hedge trimmer had started to tear at my conifer hedges, so a replacement was called for. Step in Hyundai - a name with which I have had a long history (with many cars and some other electrical products) and has always been a name I trust. Upon receipt, I was somewhat surprised to find that the trigger mechanism seemed to be jammed. I called the advice centre and a helpful chap suggested a solution which worked straight away - I understand that it is caused by a bit of additional plastic which needs to be removed by squeezing the handle very hard. Once done, it works absolutely fine and provides a very clean cut. It has the advantage of having an adjustable handle which allows you to cut at various angles - useful! Other good points are the price which is very competitive and my one arrived less than 24 hours after ordering - impressive. I would have no hesitation in recommending this product.
