Assembling of the HY1000Si Generator
Setting up the HY1000Si is quick and straightforward. Here’s a step-by-step guide to getting your generator assembled and ready for use:
Step 1: Install the Oil
1. Accessing the Maintenance Hatch:
Use the screwdriver from the toolkit to remove the maintenance screw. Flip the screwdriver to the cross-head side, turn the screw counterclockwise, and remove it.
2. Oil Filler Access:
Inside, you'll find the oil filler cap, which also has a dipstick attached. Unscrew it counterclockwise to remove.
3. Filling with Oil:
Using the supplied oil jug and the 15W40 engine oil, carefully pour oil into the filler neck. Add the oil in small increments to avoid overfilling. Use the dipstick to check the oil level until it reaches the top of the filler neck.
4. Replace the Oil Cap:
Once filled, screw the cap back on tightly to prevent leaks. Reattach the maintenance hatch by securing the screw.
Step 2: Add Fuel
Fuel Tank Access: Unscrew the fuel cap and fill the generator with fresh unleaded petrol.
Fuel Additive: If you plan to store the generator for an extended time, add the fuel additive supplied. This keeps the fuel fresh and avoids issues with stale petrol.
Fuel Cap Air Vent: During operation, ensure the fuel cap air vent is set to “ON” for proper airflow. If the generator isn’t in use, switch it to the “OFF” position.

2. Set the Choke: Move the choke lever to the start position.
3. Pull the Starter Cord: Gently pull the starter cord until you feel resistance, then pull it briskly. Be careful not to pull too hard to avoid damaging the recoil system.
4. ECO Mode: You can activate “ECO” mode for lower fuel consumption and noise. This reduces engine RPM and extends the generator’s lifespan.
