With an cutting width of 452mm / 17.8", this mower is ideal for medium to large-sized lawns and gardens.

For the perfect, tailored cut on your lawn, the HYM80LI460SP can be easily adjusted between its 6 different cutting heights - ranging from 25mm for a super smooth lawn to a 75mm option if you’re trimming rougher ground or doing a first cut - by using a single height adjusting lever, giving you complete control over your lawn care needs.

The HYM80LI460SP's spacious 65L grass collector bag, featuring a high airflow and hard lid, ensures that you'll spend less time having to empty the cuttings and thus reducing your overall mowing time.

This cordless lawn mower comes with a mulching plug option, where your dropped cuttings become grass feed, creating a healthier-looking, lush, green lawn.

Lightweight Lawn Mower

Weighing just 28.8kg, this cordless, battery-powered mower is really easy to move around your garden as it is self-propelled so drives itself, minimising any strain your arms or shoulders.

Using this powerful mower couldn’t be easier - simply insert the safety key, engage the lock-out button and pull back the OPC (Operator Presence Control) lever and self-propelled lever. This easy-starting method removes any of the strain associated with petrol recoil pull-start lawn mowers.

Compact and Quiet

Thanks to its incredibly quiet-running motor, the HYM80LI460SP is an ultra-quiet lawn mower to minimise any disturbances to your neighbours or family.

It’s quick and easy to assemble out of the box, allowing you to get it in your garden for the first cut in no time at all. With no engine to service, you also don’t need to spend time checking oil, air filters or spark plugs, making it extremely easy to maintain.

This lawn mower is so compact to store and transport. Thanks to its clever design, its handles fold down over the main power unit, which saves space in your garden shed or garage. It also features upright legs for a compact vertical storage solution when space is limited.

What Are the Benefits of a Cordless Mower?

No cables, no petrol and no pollution - the eco-friendly HYM80LI460SP lawnmower is powered by a market-leading 40v lithium-ion 2.5Ah battery, which means no more messy fuel to have to deal with and no dangerous mains cables - mowing the lawn has never been easier or safer.

    Easy to use

Posted by Richard Hill on 19th Feb 2024

I have never found mowing the lawn to be a chore more of a pleasure. Unfortunately, in the last couple of years I have limited walking ability and cannot mow the lawn. This chore has now fallen to my wife, she is 67 and does find cutting the grass to be an unwelcome chore. It pained me to see her struggling to mow the grass with the self-propelled motor mower as this is a heavy machine that would also need a bit of a push in some areas of the garden. I hated to see how this was tiring my wife and how she would complain at using the lawnmower and with the smell of the exhaust and noise. Despite having a really good motor mower that still has plenty of mileage left in it I decided to invest in a battery powered lawnmower. I decide to purchase the Hyundai HYM80Li460SP direct from Hyundai. My only regret is that I did not purchase this earlier, this would have saved my wife a lot of energy and saved me form having to see her tired and annoyed at having to mow the lawn. The lawnmower works extremely well, on first use the grass was quite damp but the lawnmower coped with this, no wheel spinning, no need to help it with its self-propelled working. The grass was quite high but she managed to put it on the second to low setting and it did a really good cut. Nowhere near the amount of noise of the petrol mower and absolutely no exhaust fumes. She managed to cut the back garden (which is fairly large) on one charge but had to put the batteries on charge again to cut the front garden, this was not really a problem as we charged each battery to one bar each and that was enough power to complete the job. Next month it’s time to say goodbye to my petrol strimmer (that is a pain to start, is noisy and stinks of two stroke fumes) and purchase a Hyundai HYTR60Li battery powered strimmer. My advice is if you want to turn a chore into a pleasure, purchase a Hyundai self-propelled lawnmower, don’t hesitate.

    Perfect lawnmower

Bought to replace a petrol powered mower. My concerns about would this e-mower be powerful enough were immediately put to reset - it copes with really tough long grass effortlessly. Super machine.

    Proper mower

This is a great mower and you don't even know you are using a cordless rather than a petrol mower. Copes with anything I have put it to work on so far. Battery time is great even with the self propelled version.

    Fantastic 80v mower

Posted by David Davies on 3rd Feb 2022

Needed a new mower having recently moved. Have about 300 SqM of lawn to cut. Considered petrol machines but went for the greener option. Arrived 3 days. Very quick and simple to assemble. Very quite, I expected to wear ear protectors but don't need them. Cut the lawns with 2 LEDs still lit, so plenty of juice. Absolutely delighted with this mower.

    Quiet satisfaction

Posted by Ian Hodgetts on 17th Oct 2021

After careful comparison and research I chose the Hyundai HYM80Li460SP as a replacement for my old self propelled petrol mower. First impressions are that I will not be disappointed. I had a minor panic when the delivery driver told me it was heavy and at 56 years of age he had better stop delivering such things, (I’m 78)! However I managed to lift it out of the box and assembly was pretty straightforward. The instructions were simple to follow with the application of a bit of common sense, and I was good to go. The batteries were ¾ full, so charging took no time at all. I found their insertion both into the charger and the machine very easy. I managed to do both front and back gardens on one charge over 30 minutes with ½ charge remaining. The grass was thick and lush at this time of year but the mower coped as well, on mid height, as my previous petrol machine. I also used self propulsion extensively. Recharging the batteries was quick enough, but because I went away to do other things I could not say exactly how long. I will however buy another charger just for the convenience of charging both batteries at once. Cutting the grass was a pleasant experience after the petrol mower. Despite the delivery man’s hernia the Hyundai feels light and fluid in operation. It is easy to manoeuvre, very quiet, and the controls are not much different to the petrol mower. I particularly liked the design of the grass box. Attachment and removal are so simple, but what impressed me most was how the cuttings simply slid out on emptying. So what was the outcome of this first cut? Well, I’m impressed, the Wife is impressed, and the passing neighbours think it’s the best garden on the road. Both lawns look manicured and despite it not having a roller, the Hyundai does leave stripes. Verdict – I can’t wait for the grass to grow so I can have another go. I keep going into the shed just to look at it!

    Excellent so far!

Posted by Will Brierley on 12th Sep 2021

We wanted a cordless mower to avoid the headaches that come with a petrol one. We have a fairly large garden and this mower lasts long enough to cut the whole thing (as long as you're not using the self-propelled feature constantly). Gives a good cut as well! So far so good!

As powerful as a petrol mower and charge lasted as long as I hoped.

Posted by Kathy on 4th May 2021

My garden is rough in places and slopes but this machine coped ok with it. I extended the mowing time by using the self propelling function as little as possible-when going uphill and just to start it moving, and then pushed it which was ok for a not particularly muscular 66 yr old woman. Doing it this way I managed to do half my large garden on one charge which was what I wanted.

    Best mower I've owned

Posted by Shir on 7th Apr 2021

Received my new mower this morning, found it very easy to assemble the handle etc. My grandson helped as it was much easier with two. Charged the batteries as soon as it arrived so have been able to cut a very overgrown lawn. Well I cut about 2 metres as my grandson also found it very easy to use and cut my lawn for me. i would definitely recommend this lawnmower if you find it difficult to start a petrol or push mower. it looks good and managed fairly long grass with ease.
