Genpower, the UK importer for Hyundai Power Equipment have been nominated for the prestigious 'Red Ribbon' Awards for 2014 which celebrates the success and achievements of Britain's family run businesses. Genpower were already awards finalists earlier in the year when they were nominated as finalists in this year's recently-held South Wales Chamber of Commerce business awards. Delighted to be have been once again shortlisted as a company who are very much on the rise, this specific award ceremony recognises the growth of companies with family-run beginnings.

And with only three months of the year gone and two nominations for nationally recognised awards under our belt, we are extremely pleased with the development and hard-work of which we are currently reaping the benefits from.

The national Red Ribbon Awards which are now into their 5th year has seen their own brand and work come in for a host of accolades, becoming one of the most talked-about award ceremonies for family businesses around the UK, whilst attracting some extremely well-known brands as sponsors each year.

Of the Red Ribbon awards nomination, Managing Director, Roland Llewellin said:

“We are delighted to have been nominated as a finalist in the 2014 Red Ribbon awards. The growth of the Hyundai brand in the UK has seen our business double in size in the last 12 months, with staff numbers increasing to 34 at present and further expansion planned. The Hyundai dealer network is growing week by week and we are seeing very strong growth in the garden machinery sales. The Hyundai brand is very easily recognised and accepted by the man in the street and he is the one we are aiming our product at, with increased marketing planned for this year.”

The annual awards ceremony will be held at the exclusive Goldsmiths Hall venue in London in June, and representatives from Genpower will be in attendance on the night, for what is sure to be another night to remember for the Hyundai brand in the UK and for the continued progression of Genpower as a company.
